Landsknecht Cuirass

The Landsknecht Cuirass is more than protection, it’s presence. Inspired by the flamboyant mercenaries of the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire, this torso armor captures the commanding energy and lavish bravado that made the Landsknechts infamous across Europe. Equal parts soldier and spectacle, their battlefield fashion became legend, and now, so can yours.

Designed for the warrior who refuses to go unnoticed, this cuirass features a sculpted breastplate and backplate that embrace the body’s form, deflecting strikes while allowing a natural range of motion. The segmented faulds and tassets, included with the cuirass, are fully articulated, granting mobility without sacrificing protection. They hang from the torso in overlapping layers, moving with a fluidity that adds grace to every step and menace to every advance.

Whether you’re marching under imperial colors, leading a free company of mercenaries, or portraying a high-ranking officer in a fantasy kingdom, the Landsknecht Cuirass offers a rich blend of historical design and theatrical expression. The silhouette is bold, the profile unmistakable, a perfect centerpiece for characters of rank, pride, or ambition.

Crafted from 1 mm steel, this cuirass is built to endure the demands of live-action roleplay, re-enactment, and stage combat. The armor is secured using sturdy adjustable leather straps, offering a flexible fit for various body types when worn over a gambeson or padded garment. The modular design also allows for pairing with matching spaulders, arm guards, or greaves, making it a versatile foundation for both complete suits and mix-and-match character builds.
