Hail adventurer, and congratulations on your new tent! You and your party are now closer to venturing towards fantastic and fateful deeds. 

But perilous journeys and dragon fire aside, a much more insidious threat lurks in the humid dark: Mould. Too many moist tents have perished in the depressing darkness of a long-forgotten attic due to these ever-growing organisms, and that fate must not befall this tent! While all our tents and tarps are pre-coated to be water-repellent and mould-resistant, we have formulated the following guide for adventurers who wish to stay epically sheltered for more than a single adventure:

• Pitching: Set up your tent so water can easily run off the canvas and orient the entrance away from prevailing precipitation. If possible, avoid locations with consistently high humidity, such as areas beneath a dense forest canopy.
• Cleaning: Brush off leaves and dirt from the canvas to minimise direct contact with soaked or moist materials. Also, remember to remove soil and plant litter from pins, pegs, and guy ropes after use, as these are stored with the canvas.
• Drying: Make sure the tent is completely dry before packing. Otherwise, pitch it again in dry weather conditions or hang the canvas indoors as soon as possible for thorough drying.
• Storing: Store the tent in a dry place and optionally with moisture-absorbing materials, such as silica gel packs.
