How to Apply Pumpkin Makeup (Step-by-Step)

You'll need: a moist makeup sponge, a medium round face paint brush, a small detail brush, the 4 Epic Effects colors above, and Epic Effects Setting Spray to finish.

1. Lay down the yellow base.
With a moist sponge, apply Yellow all over the face, but leave a couple of centimeters bare along the sides of your face for the black outline you'll add later, and leave space on the forehead for the pumpkin stalk. Skip the eyes and lips for now; those get filled in with black in step 3.

2. Blend in the orange gradient.
Using the same sponge, apply Orange around the edges of your face and blend it into the yellow. Keep the blending toward the outer edges rather than the center, you want a clean, distinct gradient from orange to yellow, not a muddy mix.

3. Carve in the black details.
Switch to a medium round face paint brush and outline your face in Black. With the same brush, fill in the eyelids and under-eye area, drawing slightly curved lines: upward from the eyelid and eyebrow, downward from the under-eye — to mimic carved pumpkin eyes. Fill in the lips and add curved mouth lines, then draw a skull-like triangular nose in Black.

4. Add the stem, refine lines, and highlight.
Still with the medium brush, paint a stump-like stem shape in Green and outline it in Black. Switch to a small detail brush to clean up and extend any lines that need more definition. Finish with the same detail brush by adding Yellow highlights on the forehead, jaw, and nose for extra dimension. Set the finished look with Epic Effects Setting Spray.

Removal: Wash off with mild soap and warm water.
