Orders are typically shipped within two business days, though small delays may occur. We pay all necessary customs taxes or fees related to shipping.

If you are dissatisfied with a product, you may request a refund within 30 days of receiving the item. The product must be returned in its original condition. You are responsible for return shipping costs and are advised to retain proof of postage. Once the returned item passes inspection, the refund will be processed to the original payment method (PayPal or credit card).

Shift Guilia

The Shift Guilia is a full-length shift in crêpe viscose, cut loose and wide so it falls in soft folds from the shoulders to the ankle. The neckline is gathered into a wide, round scoop that can sit on or off the shoulder, and the sleeves are full and billowing down to a tie at the wrist, which lets you draw the cuff in as close or as loose as you want.

The shape is drawn from Italian manuscript painting of the 14th and 15th centuries, including The Story of Patient Griselda from around 1494 and Guiron le Courtois from 1370 to 1380. Both show women in loose, gathered white shifts falling straight to the floor.

Crêpe viscose is light and has a soft drape, so the shift moves with you and stays comfortable in warm weather. A shift is the base layer of a historical wardrobe, worn against the skin. You can wear it on its own as the manuscript sources show, or put a gown, kirtle or overdress on top of it.
