Wimple - 75x45cm

The Wimple is a classic medieval headpiece from our Yoremade collection, designed for the High and Late Medieval periods. Historically worn from the late 12th to the early 14th century, it drapes over the head and wraps securely around the neck, cheeks, and chin. It is the definitive head covering for anyone playing a nun, a modest townswoman, or a noblewoman travelling abroad.

Measuring 75x45 cm, this wimple provides plenty of fabric to frame your face and cover your neck and bosom without being heavy or difficult to tie. We use 100% cotton muslin for this piece. Muslin is incredibly light and breathable, which is exactly what you want for a garment worn close to your face and neck during a long, warm day at an event.

It’s an accessory that instantly transforms a standard outfit into an accurate historical impression. It keeps the sun off your neck, hides modern hair constraints, and roots your character firmly in the Middle Ages.
