Cotehardie Marian 

The Cotehardie Marian is a foundational dress from our Yoremade collection, designed for the High and Late Medieval periods. Unlike the button-heavy Colette, this dress uses a central lacing system with reinforced lace holes to pull the fabric tight at the waist. This allows you to customize the fit to your specific body shape, ensuring that iconic, tailored silhouette of the 14th and 15th centuries.

While the front relies on lacing for closure, the lower sleeves feature a row of functional buttons. These buttons allow the sleeves to taper sharply at the wrists, a detail that was a major fashion statement in later medieval history. The dress is made from 100% cotton slub fabric, giving it a textured, rustic look that feels more grounded and "lived-in" than smooth velvet.
