Merc Armour Set - Light Kit

Built for fighters who favor mobility and a rugged, mercenary edge, the Light Kit Merc Armour Set combines high-density polyurea foam with sturdy leather construction for a set that's tough, flexible, and easy to live in. The polyurea elements are rust-proof, dent-resistant, and require no oiling or polishing, while the leather components add durability and a worn, battle-ready appearance. Designed primarily to work together as the Mercenary set, each piece also integrates with other Epic Armoury pieces, giving you plenty of room to customize your kit.

Merc Armour Set consists of the following pieces:

• Light Kit Torso Armour Merc is a hybrid cuirass with a polyurea front plate mounted on a full grain leather backing, protecting the thorax, ribcage, and pelvis with a contoured lower edge that sits comfortably over the hips. The cuirass is secured at the shoulders and sides with full grain leather straps for an adjustable fit.

• Light Kit Shoulder Plate Merc is a set of two shoulder guards with spaulders made from three ridged, overlapping PU lames that provide laminate protection for the upper arms. The shoulder plate attaches via leather straps around the biceps and shoulder blade to a breastplate, gorget, or gambeson

• Light Kit Merc Tassets will protect the hips and thighs with three overlapping plates in a historical, laminate pikeman profile that articulates as you move. It features squared attachment holes that hook directly onto the cuirass fastenings and secure with leather cords

Together, these pieces create a rugged, layered look of a seasoned mercenary while keeping you light on your feet for long days on the field.

Fit, adjustment & care

Your armor is designed to be adjusted to your body, both through its strap system and, where needed, by reshaping the material itself.

• Custom fit through heat-shaping: For a more personalized fit, the material can be gently reshaped using heat. Whenever possible, apply heat to the inside (back) of the piece rather than directly onto the painted exterior. This lets the material become flexible while protecting the finish.

• Finish: The base material underneath the painted surface is black, so over time, scratches and general wear may reveal this black color underneath.

• Easy touch-ups: Minor cosmetic damage, such as scuffs or scratches can be simply repaired at home using a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).

• Leather care: The leather straps should be maintained like any other full-grain leather product, with occasional conditioning to keep them supple and long-lasting.

• A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle and can be expected with regular use, adding to the authentic, battle-worn character of the piece.
