”A man’s worth is kept in his purse,” or so your father used to say. And as the third-biggest merchant from Tarbean, he certain knew what he was talking about.

A good purse needs to hold all sorts of regional currency, from Cealdish jots, to golden marks, crowns, drabs, ingots, pennies and coppers. None of it is ever far from your hand, or your sturdy leather purse.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Red/Brown Merchant Purse is a moderately sized wool and leather purse designed to hold coins or other personal keepsakes. The reinforced-bottom purse is made from wool blend and top-grain leather and is tied shut with a leather cord drawstring. The same drawstring is long enough that it can be tied to your belt in order to keep it close at hand.

The Mechant Purse can carry a lot, including anything up to 23 cm in length. Beautiful purses like this one are useful accessories and great for adding final touches to your character.

Maintenance

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase life-time. Make sure your leather products are kept dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating. If frequently wet and dry, increase frequency of maintenance.

Leather Cleaning

Clean by removing dirt with a hard brush, then gently rub on leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather appears clean. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.

Leather Conditioning

You should always condition leather after cleaning, since the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax polish with a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or polish in circles into the leather. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping the leather with a final clean cloth to remove any excess residue.

Wool Care

As a tight weave fabric, this wool blend product is stronger and heavier than simple cotton.

Wool Cleaning

Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F. Wash separately the first time and with similar colours afterwards. Do not tumble dry! Lay the garment out flat to dry.
