At the neck, three articulated lames curve upward in a protective collar, moving smoothly with the head while guarding the throat from glancing blows and sudden strikes.

But the true strength of this design lies in its balance. A steel plate at the upper back mirrors the front and serves a dual purpose: providing additional protection to the spine and shoulders, and crucially, balancing the weight of the gorget front-to-back. Crafted from durable 1 mm steel, the Landsknecht Gorget is secured using leather straps and steel buckles that adjust for a snug, comfortable fit.
