Everything Your Character Carries

Travel accessories from Epic Armoury are the small gear of the traveling adventurer: compasses and telescopes with leather pouches, coins and potions, scroll holders, thieves tools, and the belt hangers that carry it all. A costume tells people what your character looks like; the things hanging from your belt tell them what your character does. This is the collection where a fighter becomes a wandering mercenary, a robe becomes a traveling scholar, and every piece is built in leather, metal, and glass to survive the road, not just decorate it.

The Belt Is the Backpack

Before pockets, everything a traveler owned hung from the belt, and a LARP character works the same way. That's why half this collection is holders: bottle holders laced and buckled, a horn holder, a scroll holder, a two-piece potion holder, and cutlery on a leather hanger, so your hands stay free for a blade or a tankard while your kit stays on your body through a full day of fighting and walking. Start with one holder and the bottle it carries, and your silhouette already reads traveler.

Props That Start Scenes

The best accessories aren't worn, they're used, and used props create roleplay on their own:

  • Coins: Trade, gamble, bribe, and tip the tavern keeper. A pouch of coins generates more scenes per gram than anything else you can carry.

  • Thieves tools and handcuffs: Locks get picked, prisoners get taken. Two props that hand entire storylines to you and everyone around you.

  • Compass and telescope: Navigator's tools in leather pouches, for the scout who spots the enemy banner first.

  • Scrolls, potions, and bottles: Messages to deliver, brews to sell or drink, and mead and wine bottles that make you the most popular camp on the field.

  • Signal horn: Rally the warband, or just announce dinner with authority.

Finish the Kit, Not Just the Costume

These are the pieces that get bought last and noticed first. Small price points make them easy additions to any order, natural gifts for the LARPer who owns everything big, and the fastest way to upgrade a kit between events without replacing a single garment. Because they're leather, metal, and glass rather than costume-grade plastic, they weather with the rest of your gear instead of standing out against it, and none of it is locked to one setting: the same compass, coins, and holders serve fantasy campaigns, medieval markets, and historical events alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

What accessories should I add to my kit first?
A belt holder and a bottle for it, plus a pouch of coins. Hands-free carry and something to trade cover the two most common moments on the road.

Are the props functional or just decorative?
Functional. Bottles hold drink, the telescope and compass are real instruments in leather pouches, the holders carry weight all day, and the horn sounds.

Do these work outside fantasy LARP?
Yes. The designs are period-plausible rather than fantasy-locked, so they serve reenactment, medieval markets, and festivals just as well.

Will they survive a full campaign weekend?
That's what they're made for: leather, metal, and glass built for real outdoor use, aging with your kit rather than against it.

Are these good gifts for a LARPer?
The best kind: small, useful, and never already owned in duplicate. A coin pouch, a potion holder, or thieves tools fit any character and any budget.
