Landsknecht Cuirass – Yoremade Edition

Historical construction. Recognisable form. Ready for the field.

The Yoremade Landsknecht Cuirass draws from 16th-century German armour traditions, echoing the shapes seen in surviving museum pieces and contemporary artwork. With its sculpted breastplate and articulated faulds, this torso armor reflects the practicality and bold silhouette worn by soldiers and officers in the Holy Roman Empire, especially those among the famously outfitted Landsknecht mercenaries.

Built with an emphasis on historical plausibility and reliability, this cuirass is crafted from 1.6 mm polished steel for added strength and durability. The finish is bright and clean, well-suited for characters who take pride in their gear, be it a mercenary, officer, or commander.

The cuirass includes faulds and tassets to protect the lower torso and upper legs, allowing for natural movement through overlapping plates. These elements are fully articulated and hang in layered sections, shifting with the wearer to offer coverage without compromising mobility. It’s designed to be worn over a gambeson or padded garment and can be adjusted using sturdy leather straps for a secure and flexible fit.

This piece is part of the Yoremade collection by Epic Armoury, where historical understanding meets practical construction. Every curve and fastening point is designed with purpose, allowing you to step into historical roles with confidence, whether in reenactment, immersive storytelling, or grounded fantasy.
