It is among the greatest accessories as it is incredibly versatile, and it can enhance the experience of both roguish and ritualistic characters, working as a tool for their crafts. The style of daggers and knives varies wildly, as we have them in many different shapes, sizes, forms and inspirations, with or without core, for throwing or as a melee weapon. Last but not least, daggers are the perfect accessory, as they can fit any character! Playing a peasant, imagine all the work made easier by a knife. A druid, while you do care for the plants, sometimes the dagger is needed to gather the herbs carefully, or perhaps you are an evil overlord intending on world domination, and in that case as well, a sinister-looking dagger makes the scene, rather than a clunky sized, two-handed great weapon.

Daggers and knives made of foam have always been used in most larpers' armoury. With its compact size and easy concealment, this perfect little sidearm became to many the accessory they could never be without. It resembles daggers and knives' role in historical contexts, as carrying a knife in your belt was considered quite ordinary. Both medieval peasants and lords had many small matters made easier by a dagger. In fact, it was so common to carry a knife that the saying knifeless is lifeless emerged. Or, as it was originally translated from Faroese to English, a knifeless man is a lifeless man.
