“The squire closed the tentflaps behind him and his master. It partially blocked out the noise of the crowd at the jousting tournament. A crowd that had cheered and booed his master a few moments before, making a noise like that of a horde of goats braying as the farmer fed them. The knight was injured, that was clear, but thankfully, at least here, in the privacy of the tent, it was possible to dress the wounds without witnesses.”
Epic Armoury's Marquee tent is based on designs known since the mediaeval crusades. It offers a spacious and private abode for you to rest or have clandestine meetings while on the LARP fields. The colour of the tent is two-toned, giving an authentic feel of how tents were made during the time of the armoured knights.
The roof and walls are supported by poles, allowing for an open canopy setup without walls or a secluded setup with walls. As an upgrade from the typical design with tedious rope hoops, the wall pieces of the Epic Armoury Marquee Tent attach easily to the roof piece with fastening hooks. We have crafted the poles from powder-coated iron while the fabric consists of 100% heavy-duty (425g/m²) cotton, weatherproofed with paraffin wax for extra durability.
You can choose between regular and compact tent poles when buying your tent. The regular poles feature full length, except for the centre poles and ridge poles, assembled from two or three pieces to ensure that no pole piece exceeds 200 centimetres. This provides a durable and simple setup, which may be preferable when there is plentiful packing space. The compact tent poles are designed so that no piece exceeds 110 centimetres, which means a lot when packing space is a concern. The compact tent poles are designed without locking mechanisms as the weight of the tent canvas ensures that a well-fastened tent stays safely on the ground. Remember to check and tighten the guy ropes regularly.
As our canvas tents and canvas tent roof pieces have considerable volume and weight, the standard calculator for shipping does not apply when ordering this product type. After ordering a tent or roof piece from our website, we will contact you and provide an exact shipping offer based on your location, which you must confirm before packing and shipping your order.
Each Marquee 4x4m tent consists of the following: Marquee Tent - Roof, 2 Sides for Marquee Tent, 3 Pole Packs and 2 bags of Pegs. All colours, packs and bags match your chosen tent.

Maintenance
Our tents and awnings are treated to be water-repellent and anti-mold, yet mold is an age-old issue with tents, so it's essential to take preventive measures, even though we can't guarantee complete control. Here are some guidelines to prevent mold:
-
Use a Groundsheet: we recommend the use of a groundsheet under the tent to reduce the moisture rising from the ground.
-
Ensure that the tent is pitched correctly so that water easily runs off the fabric and the tent is protected from leaks and mold formation.
-
Make sure the tent is completely dry before storing it, as damp fabrics encourage mold growth.
-
If the tent isn't fully dry before storing, it can develop a musty odor and compromise water-repellent coatings.
-
Do not store the tent in damp or hot places like a basement.
-
Avoid cooking inside the tent, as this can cause mold to form on the fabric.
-
Do not wash dishes inside the tent, as dishwater is one of the main enemies of the fabric.
-
Set up the tent on a dry, clear day.
-
Take extra care in high-humidity climates to prevent mold.
-
Do not hang a kitchen rag over a bar inside the tent, as soap residues can affect the fabric.
-
Ventilate the tent, especially when you're not using it.
-
Avoid pitching the tent under trees, as bird droppings and tree debris after rain can cause mold.
-
Regular Cleaning: Encourage regular cleaning of the tent with mild soap and cool water to remove dirt and organic materials, which can promote mold growth.
-
Check for Damage: Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage. Small rips or tears can let in moisture, which can lead to mold growth.
